I have recently taken up learning the saxophone. As a consequence and with no knowledge or experience I bought a second-hand Alto Sax on ebay!
I am now trying to find out anything I can about the instrument such as when it was made etc.
The only information I have is the engraving on the body which consists of: SELMER R (inside a circle) USA located on the Bell almost adjacent to the right-hand keys,
and the number: 1108108 located about 2 inches below the base of the Thumb Rest.
I would most grateful for any information anyone can provide.
