I highly recommend that you look at and consider attending the Trumpet Seminar to be held at Grand Valley State University in Michigan this summer, July 18 - 25.
I will be teaching and performing there all week - so if you want to get together and learn more about what we cover here, in person, with demo's (lots of playing of course!) please consider coming.
IF YOU DECIDE TO COME, please make it clear in your application that you are coming as a referral from me - that helps me a lot, and I'd appreciate it.
Of course you'd work with everyone, not just me.
There will be an excellent lineup of teachers and players - it's really quite something with a fabulous tradition of excellence. _________________ Karl Sievers, DMA. Kevin Maloney does a nice job working with all players and is particularly good with younger players. _________________ Bill S. follow links from this one - it'll get you in the neighborhood at least.
http://www.gvsu.edu/music/trumpets/
on the bottom left part of the menu there is a link to the seminar.
(they forgot to mention that their big competition is the OU studio, but that's OK, it's all among friends )
very seriously, year in and year out Rich Stoelzel produces some of the finest trumpet players there are. He's got something special - and you won't want to miss it. _________________ Karl Sievers, DMA.
